We initially had Greg from Castillo Works Plumbing repair and replace our secondary bathroom's cold water shut off valve April 13, 2026 which had a slow leak. The recommended solution was to apply a copper sleeve which remedied the original damaged water line. Leak stopped and the angle stop was replaced with a new angle stop, which we provided. As we're working on some home renovations, we once again had another slow leak which needed repair. On May 4, 2026 , we again called Greg to replace and/or repair 9 more cold and hot water shut off valves with customer provided angle stops and application copper sleeves as needed. We required (3) sleeves on May 4 and (1) on April 13. Greg was punctual, professional and he proficiently resolved our plumbing needs. We recommended Castillo Works Plumbing!!

We came back after being away for a few months and needed a new Hvac system (ours was 36 years old) Ely and the boys had a new state of the art efficient system installed in less than a week. See Pics Below. The same performance was done when we needed a new Hot water heater last year.  Question: Is it ok to Love your Plumber ? Answer: Yes when Its Castillo Plumbing. We had a pipe leak under our kitchen sink.  I asked my husband to call Castillo Works. I called them before on a different job estimate and remembered how professional and quick they were. Greg came out again immediately, I was surprised.  I was going to get two estimates but Greg responded quickly and thoroughly that my husband didn't want to call any more plumbers for quotes. Our leak was fixed within maybe 2. 5 hrs of us making the initial call. I was just hoping we could have it fixed in a couple days.  I don't know if we paid too much or average, but if you need help and someone shows up quickly, get it done and move on with your day.  I'll definitely use them again. The best plumbing work and team in San Diego — hands down. Eli (the owner) is an incredible consultant who truly listens, gives honest advice, and helps you feel confident at every step. Art, who handled the repair, is hands-down one of the most professional, skilled, and respectful plumbers I’ve ever met. In my case, they replaced a damaged shower valve, tub spout, and other fixtures. The job wasn’t simple — the pipe had to be carefully pulled forward and reworked to properly align with the new valve. Art handled everything with precision and care, took time to explain each step, worked very cleanly, and made sure all the details were perfect. He even followed up about a minor water concern in the garage and offered to come back if needed. That level of accountability is rare. Before choosing them, I got quotes from several other companies — including Bill Howe Plumbing, Voyager Plumbing, a Korean plumber, a Chinese plumber, and Castillo Plumbing. Eli’s team provided the most detailed plan after carefully reviewing the issue, and their quote was both comprehensive and cost-effective. These guys were great.  On a Friday evening at 730pm I discovered my water heater had a leak.  It was 7 years old, and called the company that had installed it, and they gave me a quote to replace, which was stupidly high, and tried to upsell me on other products.  So, I went to Yelp and called a couple plumbers.  As soon as Castillo answered the phone I knew they were the right plumbers for me.  The guy (sorry, missed the name) listened to what I needed, asked a few questions, and then gave me a verbal estimate.  So I set up an appointment for Saturday morning.  Two guys show up on time, inspect the job, and confirmed the verbal quote.  I also asked it they could add an expansion tank to help with my air-hammer issues.  He made a call, and gave me a firm quote, which was extremely reasonable.  They placed an order for the heater and tank, which arrived in about 30 minutes.  During that time they removed the old water heater.  The install was a breeze.  They worked independently, but asked questions when needed.  Both guys were easy to work with, hard workers, and clearly knew what they were doing,  After installation he made sure i knew how to light the pilot and set the temperature, and they cleaned up perfectly. Castillo Works always does a great, quality job at our house.  We recently called Castillo because there was a leak under our kitchen sink.  They came out to our house promptly, diagnosed the problem, and installed a new faucet, all for a very reasonable price.  Our technician was Greg, and his communication was great. I noticed a little bit of water around the base of my toilet before leaving for work this morning. I called Castillo Works Plumbing. My brother had referred me to them as he has previously had good experiences with them. I called them at 8:15 in the morning, and they were here by 9:00. There were initially two men who came to inspect the issue and quoted me some prices for replacing my toilet and replacing the water valve shutoff. A third person (Greg) came soon after, and the other two left soon after Greg started working on our bathroom . Greg completed most of the work. He did a good job communicating with me about what to expect and possible issues that might arise. Praise the Lord, he didn't feel there was much water damage, and the area was pretty dry. Castillo Works was recommended by Rapid Water Heater (owner Miguel, who replaced our water heater 4/11/22). Art came by within an hour(!) on that Sunday phone call and assessed the leak situation. He cut out some dry wall to find cause of leak and also examined overflow gasket. Greg, Ace and Alex started Monday afternoon. Our streets were closed to through traffic Tuesday -- so Wednesday morning, Greg did the whole project of replacing the 3 shower valves with a Moen all-purpose, one-handle valve; the tub-faucet, overflow gasket and old exposed copper pipes downstairs. The crew that i met from Castillo were all personable and professional. i also appreciated Greg's patience as he explained to me "plumbing jargon" so that i may learn what goes on behind/beneath the shower/bathroom walls. I am reviewing again because they came back for a different pipe leak. Art and another co worker came quickly to assess damage. They were able to pinpoint the leak after taking some drywall off and give me quotes. We have used this company 2X before so I already knew we would have them fix it on the spot. They work quick and efficiently, they will tell you what may be needed in the future so you aren't caught with a big surprise on a potential future plumbing issue. Had a terrific experience with Castillo Works Plumbing and I highly recommend them. It was a multi-day project due to some water damage caused by the water heater leaking for several days. Greg was extremely professional, knowledgeable, thorough as he assessed the situation and made the necessary recommendations.  He was very easy to work with, explained what he was doing throughout the project and even showed me how to use the new water heater. To top it off he left my garage cleaner than when he first got here. Talk about A+ service. Art and his crew of Castillo Works Plumbing replaced my old tankless water heater with a Navien Tankless Water Heater. Art was very polite and answered all my questions either in person, by a phone call or text. They did a great job. The Pelican Water System was installed by Ely about 3 years ago. Still works great. Came home after work to a leaking garbage disposal on 1/2/24.  I texted Ely if he could help and give me an estimate.  Ely gave me an estimate and would come first thing in the morning.  By 10 a.m. the next morning everything was fixed and taken care of. I've used his company for plumbing needs since 2018. When I needed a new hot water heater, my first thought was to call Ely. I was not sure whether they would be available in such short notice, but they came through the next morning! Again they provided prompt service with absolutely no additional products, services or gouging. They even supplied an air blower for several days and a drip pan under the new water heater. Ely provides the best responses of any service professional in my experience as a homeowner. His candid, fair and no nonsense approach for providing information and estimates is 2nd to none. I always call him first and his technicians respond within 15-20 minutes! My go to resource for HVAC! UPDATED REVIEW 8/11/2023: Found water covering my garage floor, which was the result of a hot water heater leak. Contacted Ely that evening after turning off the gas and water. They Are Prompt & Professional Had a Emergency Leak in Ceiling Bathroom They Came & Solved The Issue... They Are Going to Fix The Drywall Damage & Dry Out The Area So That There is No Mold From Water Leak... Also Had New Spigots Installed On Out Side Because They Were Old and Leaking... Had a leak from a second floor drain pipe which Greg was able to determine leak source, promptly. Broken pipe repair also followed promptly. I woke up to find water trickling onto the laundry room floor. The culprit was the aging water heater that came with the house. Ely came out within the hour and did a quick inspection of the water heater. He pointed out the corrosion points and other issues.  I was impressed with the on the spot  analysis and solution during the initial evaluation. He also spot checked the flue and told me that the HVAC/air-conditioning/heating exhaust vent installed by a third party was hooked up incorrectly to the water heater exhaust flue which would create an issue for the city inspector when the time comes. I looked for a plumber on Saturday morning to have my leaking water pressure regulator looked at. I called another plumber I had used before located here in "EASTLAKE" but after 40 minutes did not hear back from them so I called Castillo Works. Eli promptly answered and answered all my questions, he asked for a few pictures, I hung up and sent them to him. He called me right back and said he would be at my house in 15 minutes, he was there in 10! He got on site, looked at the valve said he could fix right then and there! He quoted me a fair price and was in and out of there in 1.5 hours. I did not require him to wear a mask, but he did, which was nice, he was clean, courteous and professional. The only plumbing company who picked up their phones after hours!!! They literally saved the night. Had a broken hose spigot and water was gushing everywhere. Arturo and Greg came fast to the rescue. They replaced the spigot within minutes and had water flowing back in the house like the salmon of Capistrano -- Amazing. Having no water for the night would have been a nightmare, but these guys saved us. Thank you Castillo Works Plumbing. Arturo and Greg, hey thank you guys for what you do. 5-star all the way!  Our AC stopped putting out cold air, and I called Castillo Works.  Art from Castillo was at our house within the hour, diagnosed the trouble with our AC, fixed it fast, and now we've got much colder air coming out of the vents all over our house. Had a small leak above my water heater just before I left for a month long trip, was recommended Callisto works who was able to come out and repair the pipe on a holiday. Kitchen sink We called Castillo Works this morning with the assumption we needed a  new kitchen sink.  After explaining our concerns to Ely, he asked that photos of the sink be sent to him so he could better understand our issues. After reviewing the photos he called with an explanation and recommendation of how we could solve are leaking issues without having our sink replaced.   So many companies would not have provided this information without charging for an in person inspection. Based on this experience alone,  we will gladly call Castillo Works Plumbing for any future plumbing needs. We were excited to hear the company is also licensed for bathroom remodels. CASTILLO... Works! Castillo Works was recommended by Rapid Water Heater (owner Miguel, who replaced our water heater 4/11/22). Art came by within an hour(!) on that Sunday phone call and assessed the leak situation. He cut out some dry wall to find cause of leak and also examined overflow gasket. Greg, Ace and Alex started Monday afternoon. Our streets were closed to through traffic Tuesday -- so Wednesday morning, Greg did the whole project of replacing the 3 shower valves with a Moen all-purpose, one-handle valve; the tub-faucet, overflow gasket and old exposed copper pipes downstairs. The crew that i met from Castillo were all personable and professional. i also appreciated Greg's patience as he explained to me "plumbing jargon" so that i may learn what goes on behind/beneath the shower/bathroom walls. Greg finished the work in the afternoon. ALL good to go! Overall, i would rate Castillo Works a 4.8 -- because complete perfection only happens in GOD's Heaven. \o/
